james (jim) lary, administrative supervisor
This month’s “Featured Vet” is retired
US Army Sgt First Class Jim Lary, currently our chapter
President. Sgt Lary served as Mortuary NCOIC at Danang, RVN on
his first Vietnam tour, and was assigned to the 92nd Combat
Support Group on subsequent tours. His decorations
include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service
Medal, RVN Combat Medal w/ 6 devices, MUC, RVN Gallantry
Cross, among many others. His served in Thailand,
Vietnam, Okinawa, Japan, Korea, as well as the US. His
home town is Oak Ridge, Tennessee where he entered service in
1963.
