Ceremonies were conducted IAW the DAV Ritual. There were 12 DAV members in attendance. INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: None ROLL CALL: Adj. Milward reported those who were absent or excused.. APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: NONE PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: The Adj. made a motion, which was seconded, to approve the January 2008 minutes as posted on the web site, bulletin board and sent via E-Mail, subject to correction. The motion passed. TREASURER’S REPORT: Treasurer Ted Reyes reported the financial status of the chapter as: Peso Checking (BPI Bank) P 18,891.92 U. S. Dollar Saving (BPI Bank) $ 4,836.19 Peso Petty Cash (Tres.) P 1,392.10 SICK CALL: Earl Dodge very ill at home and Richard Jones out of the hospital but not doing well. SERVICE OFFICER’S REPORT: a. Effective on 8 February 2008, veterans having an appointment at the VA OPC will not have to show their letter to the van driver. The van driver will have a list of those wiih appointments for that day. If there are any problem please report it to the DAV office. b. Adjutant E. Ralph, briefed on the fairly new Tricare provider ACCUCARE based in Manila with an office locally in Dae Hwa Lion Hospital on Henson Street in Angeles City. c. There are updated flyers in the DAV office on various subjects, e.g. Good Things To Know, Estate Planning, Local Hospital and Ambulance telephone numbers, etc. COMMUNICATIONS: None COMMITTEE REPORTS. None OLD BUSINESS: a. Status of Past Chapter Commander pins. The Treasurer and Secretary will take action on this prior to the March GMM. b. The 10 raffle books from VFW Post 124 were sent up to Baguio with P2500 in cash. Apparently the chapter did not win. c. Past Commander Welsh reminded the members present that a few years ago when A. L. 123 was going to move, the DAV Ch. 3 pledged P10,000 to help fray cost of the move. The move at that time did not occur, but it is happening now. So he asked that the pledge of P10,000 be kept and donated to A. L. 123 for their current move to a new post location. The P10,000 was donated by Treasurer on 12 February. NEW BUSINESS - A motion was made and seconded for the DAV to purchase a ˝ page ad in the VFW DPA Convention Book @ $50. The motion passed. The Treasurer has taken action on this on 12 February. GOOD OF THE CHAPTER a. There will be a VVA 887 Social on 21 February at Honey Ko’s @ 2 PM. All Vietnam Veterans are invited to attend. b. The A. L. 123 has re-located and is very near the old post home. Check out flyers on organization bulletin boards for the new location. c. The 50/50 drawing was conducted with the winner being Jim “Boss Hog” Hoggs who won P600, with same going to the DAV 3 petty cash. A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR OUR FALLEN COMRADES WAS OBSERVED. CLOSING CEREMONIES There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was adjourned. Closing ceremonies were conducted IAW the DAV Ritual.
