malcolm m mccallum: electronic warfare systems
Hometown: Zachary, Louisiana. Joined the USAF
in 1964 after recieving draft notice. One year of tech school (Avionics)
at Keesler AFB Miss, then assigments to Clark AB, Philippines, Danang
Viet Nam, Ubon Thailand, Udorn Thailand, Osan, Korea, and Torrejon Spain. Temporary
duty to Turkey, Italy, Germany, England. Last assignment was Chief,
Electronic Warfare Systems Branch, Clark AB. After retirement
worked as field engineer, Hughes Aircraft, on the GBU15 Guided Bomb
system and for Link Simulation Systems; as a Flight Simulator
operator/technician. Also worked for US Government as a Translator (Thai
Language). Serves as webmaster for VVA Chapter 887.
Decorations include Meritorious Service Medal (2), AF Commendation
Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign.
